1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading and using My Pantry Hero ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Use of the App
My Pantry Hero is designed to help you manage your pantry inventory and generate AI-powered meal plans. You agree to:
- Use the App only for its intended purpose
- Provide accurate information when creating your account
- Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
- Not attempt to reverse engineer or misuse the App
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. AI Generated Content
Meal plans generated by the App are powered by AI models from Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini), depending on your subscription tier. While we strive for accuracy and quality:
- Generated meal plans are suggestions only
- Always use your own judgment regarding dietary requirements and allergies
- We are not responsible for any adverse reactions to suggested meals
- Nutritional information is not guaranteed to be accurate
5. Subscription and Payments
My Pantry Hero offers three tiers of service:
- Home Cook (Free): Users receive three (3) meal tokens per day, each token covering one (1) day of meals. Plans are limited to a maximum of three (3) days per meal plan.
- Sous Chef: Subscribers receive ten (10) meal tokens per day, each token covering one (1) day of meals. Plans are limited to a maximum of four (4) days per meal plan.
- Head Chef: Subscribers receive twenty (20) meal tokens per day, each token covering one (1) day of meals. Plans of up to seven (7) days are available.
- Daily meal tokens reset every 24 hours. Unused tokens do not carry over to the next day.
- We reserve the right to adjust these limits, pricing, or tier benefits at any time, with reasonable notice provided to users where practicable. Refunds are handled in accordance with the relevant app store policies.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and functionality of My Pantry Hero is the property of the developer. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the App without permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
10. International Users — Additional Terms
European Union and United Kingdom Users
If you access My Pantry Hero from the European Union or United Kingdom, you acknowledge that your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By creating an account and agreeing to these Terms, you provide your consent for us to process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy for the purpose of providing our services to you.
California, United States Users
If you are a California resident, nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Please refer to our Privacy Policy for a full description of your California privacy rights.
General International Notice
My Pantry Hero may be accessed internationally. By using our app from outside South Africa, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in South Africa and other countries where our service providers operate, including the United States where Google Firebase servers are located. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is protected in accordance with our Privacy Policy regardless of where it is processed.
